Evaluation: Question 1
This is our answer to question 1 of the evaluation. We did it in the format of our video as this easily allowed us to each say our different ideas that we had noted down.

Evaluation: question 3
Audience Research Survey
To answer question 3 of the evaluation we decided to create a survey to give to our target audience which they would fill in once they'd watched the video. The link to the survey is here:
We then transferred the information, the results and their significance onto a page on the website Infogram. This had clear ways to set out the results and made it easy for the results to be put in the graph.
This is a collaboration between our school and Haggerston School, East London, they filmed themselves watching all our classes video and this is a link to the video:
The analysis for our video starts around the third minute.
We thought this was a useful collaboration as this school is from a different location and the students are from different backgrounds. Also their school was a girls school until 2010 and
as their students are from a wider range of ethnicities they will provide a different opinion to what our audience feedback provides. The fact that we hadn't met the other students meant that the feedback was useful and completely decontextualized.

The feedback the audience gave us was a mixture of positives
and negatives some of the feedback was useful and some not so much. One of the
negatives they stated was that the dancing was out of place, not in terms of
the genre, but in terms of it not linking to the rest of the song. However,
during the dancing they stated that they thought some of the cuts linked to the
beat of the song. Also they stated that other cuts during the song linked with
the increasing pace of the song and when it was leading to a crescendo. Another
one of the criticisms they said was that the lip synching was too repetitive. The
reason we including this amount of lip synching were to create a focus on the
female artist. In reference to Hall’s Reception Theory this would have been the
dominant reading as we wanted the audience to familiarise themselves with the
female artist. However, again in reference to Hall’s theory, the audience
feedback we received shows they provided an oppositional reading as they found
it repetitive. A positive they mentioned about the video was that they thought
the split screen shot when the male character disappears was a good piece of
editing. This is useful feedback as it shows that they understood the purpose
of the shot with it linking to the narrative.
Showing that in contrast to their view on the lip synching they
understood the dominant reading that was portrayed.
Evaluation: Question 4
This is the answer to question 4 that I created using Prezi. The reason I used Prezi was because it allows you to set out the information clearly and aesthetically. To read the text clearly the presentation will need to be set on full screen.
