Actress photos

These are some photos of our artist at two of our filming locations, one of the locations was at her house and one at a dance studio. We chose her as the actress as she would appeal to our younger target audience as she is a similar age, giving the audience more pleasure as she can be used as a role model and possibly more enjoyment. Complying with Uses and Gratifications theory as this states that the one of the reasons an audience will watch a media product is for pleasure.

These are some on set pictures that we took while recently filming on a country road near Ashover. We stuck to our filming schedule and was filming here on the 27th January and took these pictures in case we wanted to use them in any of our ancillary products.

 

 

Draft of Front Cover

These are some pictures I took of the album covers that we created before creating the finished version. The reason we created multiple versions is so we could test some of the features of the software Photoshop. Once we had created the different versions of the cover we asked some members of our class to briefly state what they felt about them, their comments are in the caption of each photo.

 

They liked the photo used but they didn't think the colourful font suited the natural photo. Also they felt the album cover in general didn't suit the song.

 

The person we asked didn't like this album cover as they didn't like the design of the font. Also they didn't like the photo due to the wall behind the actress and they didn't like the fact her knees were in the foreground of the photo.

They really liked the photo we used for the cover as they liked how the colour of her eye was the main aspect of the photo. However, they didn't think the font stood out enough and didn't catch the eye as it was too small and basic.

They liked the effect we had put on the photo and also the placement and also the photo itself. However, the font and the photo combined made it seem slightly old fashioned, which they didn't think suited the song we had chosen.

This is the link for the artist website as part of our ancillaries that was created using the website Wix. Wix has numerous templates to choose from and allows the user to change the colours of the website, import photos and, in our case, produce information about the artist.
